Voices.com just dropped their Amplified 2026: State of Voice report, and there's one number worth stopping on: 79% of business leaders say AI voices should come from real, attributed voice actors β not synthetic models built without consent.
The same report found that 79% say inauthentic AI voices actively hurt brand perception. And 61% of consumers find AI voices more memorable when they're tied to a single brand β meaning exclusivity and identity are becoming competitive advantages, not just nice-to-haves.
The takeaway isn't that AI is going away. It's that the market is moving toward real voices as the foundation β and that's a different conversation than the one that's been dominating the industry.
